The BMW E39 is one of the most highly regarded BMW's ever built. It's modern suspension (even by today's standards) mean that it is hard ti improve upon over stock. BC Racing has designed the BR coilovers for street driven vehicles and more specifically for owners who are looking for maximum adjustability and performance in all aspects. The BR series coilover comes with specifically valved shocks and matched springs to ensure proper performance. Ride height adjustments are made by raising or lowering the shock body in relation to the lower mount. This method of ride height adjustment ensures that the shock can maintain full travel regardless of how low or how high you decide to set up your car. Additionally, BC includes a full pillow ball top mount with an adjustable camber plate. The pillowball mount creates a unique road feeling that is not possible with a traditional OE style rubber mounts. Unlike other manufactures which typically require you to send back worn or failed parts for a rebuild and warranty inspection, BC Racing has all the components which comprise their coilover kits available for individual sale outside the one year warranty. This gives you the opportunity to replace worn components on your own time schedule with little to no vehicle down time and also gives you the unique opportunity to upgrade your coilover kit to a higher level kit if you so choose.       So.... I may have JUST bought:

      1. StopTech performance brake kit. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-assembled-by-ecs-parts/performance-front-and-rear-brake-service-kit/ecse39341121kt/

      2. All the hardware to redo the parking brakes (didnt get cables though.. might still get those)

      3. Coilover kit: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-coilover-kit-e39-i-06br

      4. Full front/rear suspension refresh kit: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-suspension-kit-front-and-rear-540i-m5-oem-540e3922piece-l

      I KEEP putting all this in my cart.. taking it out.. putting it in.. for the past few months.. so I just said DO IT.. and I did!

      Let me know how your project works out.
      I got the same suspension refresh kit, but opted for dianan springs/bilstein b8 with all new hardware instead of coilovers. I was considering the same coilovers, and as a result of my research I would suggest upgrading to swift springs. Apparently this makes a massive difference:

      I also got the eibach RSB, the cheapest source I found is summit racing, $128.
      I'll start once it warms up. The struts/shocks are still back ordered, hopefully for not much longer.
