Want to buy X5 to go with M5 : UK

Anyone got any advice on what to look for when buying an X5 ?

I'm presently looking for an 2002 to 2004 X5 with 3 litre diesel engine and a manual gearbox with sat nav in metallic silver with black leather. Sport trim would be ideal. Looking to spend a max of £25,000, and ideally less, as this will be our 4th car ..........

I'm guessing that lots of M5 owners also own one or might know other people with X5's and so might be able to share with me some clues about what to look for and what to avoid.

Thanks !

Many thanks for the link - I'll check it out.

I can't stand automatic gearboxes ....... takes all the fun out of driving. Even though it will be my wife who drives the X5 most

From what I've seen, most people disagree with me, and prefer Auto's, which tends to make the manual X5's a thousand or two cheaper into the bargain - so if I can get the gearbox I want and it's cheaper than an auto, then it kind of makes sense. At least to me.
