Can I tow with the X5M?

Just curious if I could use the X5M to tow a trailer, boat, etc?

I know the new diesel X5 is rated at 6,500 pounds towing capacity but not sure if there is something that rules out towing with the X5M? The X5M is reported to have 500 torque (a fair chunk more than the diesel) - I think I could pull the Queen Mary II with that kind of twist.

Thanks!

You may be limited because of the rear bumper, I know that they do not offer a towing package for the X5 with the M-sport package so the actual M may have the same restrictions. Not saying it cant be done though, as far as i know the restrictions the different bumpers cause is purely cosmetic.

I would see if I could order a tow hitch for it, that would be your answer !!!! Just make sure it's a BMW unit.
