I am thinking of adding an X5 4.8 to replace my Cayenne Turbo. If anyone here has recently purchased an X5 4.8, can you tell me how much off MSRP can I expect to get?
Also, what are the residuals and money factor on an X5 lease?
Thanks.

I just leased a 2008 X5 4.8 nearly fully loaded last month. We got a few thousand off (roughly 3k or a little more).
Got every option except HUD and upgraded sound system. Payment is $1,180. I don't remember the MF or residual. If I find my paperwork I'll let you know. Also, that is with no money down and rolled in taxes. Zero out the door costs.

How many months and miles per year allowed?
Dealership gave me a 4.8 X5 as a loaner w/ the sport package when my M5 was in for service. Now that was an SUV. Excellent power and handled like a dream.
Just bought a 3.0 with sport/premium. $6K off, not a penny down, and the 0.9% financing brings her into a payment really close to a lease payment without the mileage hassles. But....buy the gap insurance since the balance will always be higher than the ACV.
If you are considering lease vs buy options for a business, don't forget about the Economic Stimulus Incentives on the table. There is an additional $25K 2008 first year write-off if you buy a 6000+ GVWR vehicle. That puts well over $40K available to write off this year for an X5. BTW, luxury car depreciation is also improved if you buy this year to the tune of ~$11K per year vs the old ~$3K.

3 years and 10,000/miles per year. We only put about 12k miles per year on the SUV's so it was worth it to pay extra at the end for overage miles (or you can do one adjustment during your lease term).
This was my first lease and I didn't want to figure out how to get rid of a gas guzzling SUV when the BMW diesels hit the shore over the next 12-24 months. The timing of the lease will be perfect to get a new X5 turbo diesel when this lease expires.
Wow, I'm glad to see what a great deal I got, since I got my X5 when they first came out, February of 2007. 3 years, 12,000/miles per year, and I pay only $1,156/month, and did minimum drive off... Mine is loaded too, every option except the active seats & HUD...

I absolutely love the vehicle, btw!

Previous to the M5, I had the X5 4.4 w/ Sport Package which I loved but the new X5 4.8 is on another level. That 4.8 loves to run/rev. I was really surprised at how well that car handled. If I was in the market for an SUV, the X5 4.8 would be a complete no brainer for me.
My local Northern CA dealer had quite a few on his lot. I was offered one of four choices of 4.8's at $7000 off invoice (not sticker!). At least in this case, this dealer has over inventory of these and needs to move them in a slow market. FWIW.

That's an awesome deal!
I custom ordered one of the first 2008's and took delivery in November 2007. $2,000 off MSRP at the time, which I thought was good and was fine with. Also BMW CCA discount on top of that.
She's got 11,000 miles on her so far.
Here is a photo I took today:
