So looks like rain all weekend in SLO, 80% chance on saturday and 70% chance on sunday. Can someone post a "revised" agenda for ECFest considering the weather conditions? A buddy of mine said there might be hail???

#84 ·
I see 70% on Sat and 40% on Sun on Weather.com. Don't see anything about hail though and certainly hope there won't be any.

The revised agenda is as follows. Not much has changed except we're not doing the BBQ at Santa Rosa Park and having lunch at a restaurant.

- NorCal and SoCal caravans leave around 8-8:30AM Sat morning to meet at the Marriott Courtyard around 11:30-12:00
- Lunch is at Tahoe Joes at 12 noon about 2 miles from the hotel: TahoeJoes.Com - Tahoe Joes Famous Steakhouse, San Luis Obispo, CA Restaurant
- We'll head back to the hotel after lunch and maybe play some poker in the lobby as we've done in the past. :)
- Dinner will be at 8PM at Thai Palace
- Party will be at SLO Brew around 10-10:30 where we've reserved bottle service: SLO Brewing Company
- Sunday morning breakfast at hotel and departure

#93 ·
Sucks. Would have been great to have you join us as well. This was like our 6-7th meet in SLO. Hopefully next time. :)

Great meet, the weather did not stop us from having fun
Nice putting faces behind names and great talking to you all.

In for pics :M5thumbs:

LOL! Eloy's like the pace car. hahaha

We had a pace car of our own on the way back; a CHP cruiser that was about a mile in front of us. haha

Hope everyone got back safely.

#96 ·
Don't feel like going into work tomorrow :) had too much fun this weekend.

#97 ·
You missed the action at the club where Kathy was calling groups of young co-eds over to our table and pouring vodka down their throats. :) I think if the place stayed opened for about a half hour longer, we would have had our own version of Girls Gone Wild. :)

Vik you just missed meeting up with John on the freeway on the way back home, I think you exited just as I pulled up behind him.

#107 ·
John, you and Tony took off while me and Vik got stuck at the lights so I decided to just cruise home, when you called I passed Vik and was going 100+ to catch up lol, I think even Vik was prob thinking what's got into him LOL.

Vik I was trying to conserve gas so while you guys kept taking off I was like nope I am not going to down shift I am just going to see what this kit can do LOL, surprised myself how well I kept up in 7th gear and no M mode

LOL nice! Tony exited and then it was just me and Bill. Then we parted ways at the 680 intersection and I was bored so thought I'd call to see how far you were behind. Didn't take long for you to catch up once I slowed down. But unfortunately didn't want to push it through 680 as there are usually traps set all over the Sunol grade. I wanted to end the weekend on a nice note LOL

Speaking of exhausts, Vikram, you need to call Eloy ASAP. hahaha

#112 ·
Tony ,I just emailed Eloy this morning , Next time we meet you will hear my exhaust....
Need some Advise .. Since I'm only interested in the sound can I add in section 3 and save the money the wheels instead of going for the full exhaust .Also I need to check with my dealer if the extended warranty will be valid with the exhuast.

#113 ·
Which dealership do you go to and which warranty company do you have as an exhaust should not be an issue but I have heard stories from certain warranty companies that decline on any kind of modifications.

#114 ·
Your rights should be protected under the Magnusson-Moss Act which basically states that a dealer can't turn you away for warranty work on a part unless they can prove that the aftmarket part you have is the direct cause of the failure of the part being claimed for warranty. Like they can't say they won't fix your AC because you have an exhaust. That said, some dealers will find all sorts of excuse if they really want to deny you service. Hopefully your SA and dealer are "mod-friendly" and don't ask questions.

#115 ·
Paul,I have the BMW Extended warranty and I go to BMW Fremont.
When I spoke with the service advisor on my last visit ,he said Exhaust should be fine ,it will not effect the warranty, nevertheless I will check again with them .
I made up my mind I'm going for the RPI exhaust :)
Cant handle the embaressment anymore... lol....
