FL: Central Florida E39 Owners with Aftermarket Exhaust?

All,

I really want an aftermarket exhaust on my car. Every car I have had has had one, but those systems were much cheaper, so I was willing to gamble. This time around, I want to hear one before I buy one. Anyone in the Central Florida area (Orlando, Space Coast) have an aftermarket exhaust on their E39 M5 that I could hear on their M5?

You've heard mine. Whatever you put on will sound more or less the same if you have stock headers and the resonnator.

I would suggest you do the muffler delete mod. There is plenty of videos online and whole threads about it. I did mine a couple months ago and love it. Also the price was lovely too about $120 labor w/ custom pipes and $100 tips.

I have been contemplating it, but I'd like to hear it in person first.

The muffler delete sounds really good, it's probably my favorite of what I've heard. I'm actually removing a full Corsa exhaust from my car and going back to the stock resonator/X-Pipe and the muffler delete. I'd be happy to sell you the Corsa though!!

Why are you removing the Corsa? Was it too loud?

It's a little loud for my taste, and without the resonator it's a little raspy sometimes I think. Not my cup of tea.
