Just got my baby cleaned up after my brilliant idea of riding around the track with my top down. The guy at the car was wash told me it was a sin to keep a car that nice that dirty. I told him how it got that dirty and he forgave me. Full outside clean and inside for $20....yess!!!

I am down for the Mtn Run. Should have my headers here Monday, I will get them installed Tuesday just in time for the Mtn run. I had it done over on Roswell Rd across from Dunkin D. The place with the yellow tint.

Jitoo,

We did a couple of dyno days last year and it was a lot of fun. I think everyone learned quite a bit about their cars and a lot more about how dynos work. I think the morning run is a great idea. I'm always looking for an excuse to stretch the beast's legs and doing before the fam wakes up would be ideal. Maybe we can start scheduling before C&O (without the $25 cover charge).

Yeah, I already mentioned to Greg that we might stop by and sneak a peak at the install and he was more than happy to have us over. Keep us posted on the dates and we'll get the group together to head over. Maybe do an official dyno day with the unveiling of your S/C beast!

Alex, I think we can do one or the other. If we do a really "fun" run up the mountains it's going to take all day. We could probably do the shorter loop (#2 that was much shorter) and get in the BBQ. Would you guys be up for that later in the spring or summer?

Keith, that's an awesome idea!!! I've been wanting to see one of those races and Barber is really close. Would you guys be up for attending this thing? I'm guessing Saturday will be the optimal day, but I'll only be able to go on Sunday due to kids sports. I'd even drive up Saturday afternoon/evening and stay over Sunday if that works for more folks.

I'll be there all 3 days, but you guys should get a group and caravan over. There will be designated club parking, sectioned off by brand on site on a huge grassy area right by the track. There were 60-70 bmw's there last year. A few years ago we got out on the track during lunch and did a few parade laps. The BMW club also does a tour of each of the BMW race teams down in the paddock. Turner, Rum Bum, and Bimmerworld. The teams usually hand out stuff too....hats, signed posters, etc.
So come check it out...one day or stay for all three days!
Yeah, I think everyone likes these especially with a good route. I think we have about 10 guys committed to do the run, but I would like to get a head count so I can make sure we leave on schedule Friday morning. Who else is in for the Mountain Run? See post #821 for the route and details.

Anthony- actually Sunday is the "big" Indy race event. The spectator numbers are probably double than what they are on Saturday, typically. Saturday is the Rolex race, which is what I like, which are the porsches, BMW's, Vette's, RX-8's, etc.

For anyone interested, don't forget you need Corral Parking passes, which you have to purchase from the link posted above. Without a corral pass you won't be allowed through the gate to park with with the car clubs and will have to park several miles off-site in dirt lots and get bused in. From what I've been told, you don't want to go this route as the lines are huge waiting to get on the buses.....especially at the end of the day leaving the track. For $35 it is very nice to be able to park right by the track and come/ leave as you wish, not to mention being able to show off the cars. We could all meet up off site and cruise in together

Keith,

I just realized the race schedule after I posted that. Yeah, the Indy race is going to be packed. I'd rather see the Rolex GT cars as well. So who's up for a road trip to Birmingham? Maybe leave early Saturday morning, 3/31 and come back late afternoon or early evening?
