Should be a good event. Apparently we will be getting 8-9 passes on the day. I just picked up my M6 and am loving the top end power in this car. Just hoping the stock limiter will not be an issue.

I doubt the stock limiter will be an issue... you should be trapping around 145 to 150 MPH , the limiter kicks in at around 172 at least on my M5... good luck I'll see you there... I don't know yet, if I'm going to run or not..

Shouldn't be, apparently it takes a Viper SRT 10 31.4 secs to reach the end of the mile and it does it at 159mph... If our cars do 172 MPH give or take we should have plenty of room to not top the mile...

Im in this time... Check this link... RoadandTrack.com -- Comparison Tests - Thunder Road: The Standing Mile (9/2005)
