Houston Sightings Thread

I figured I should make a thread of the different sightings we encounter of other M5's.

During the weekday if I'm early to work, around 7:45am ish I tend to see a Indy Red E60 M5 with no tint on West Little York headed down to Eldridge Rd.

If I'm late around 8am I tend to see a Silverstone II, and a Black E60 M5 headed down Eldridge Rd near West Little York Rd. I think the Black one there was a female driving it.

Just two days ago, At about 8am I was on West Little York headed East towards Beltway 8, I spotted a Black E60 M5 heading the same direction, then turned onto Brittmore. I gave him the two finger wave and was returned with a friendly nod. He had Texas A&M vanity plates.

I guess there are more M5's in my area then I thought. Perhaps a mini meet...

I re-sighted the very car that inspired me to get my very own E39 M5. Last time I saw it was over a year ago at the HEB parking lot in Pearland off 288 South. It's a Silverstone E39 that's always parked in the same area, so I'm guessing the owner is a proprietor of a shop in the business plaza. He/she may also own a black E34 non-M because other times it's parked in the same row. The first time I saw it was in front of my wife and I told her, "damn, I would sell you to have one of those!" and I drove around it a few times with hearts in my eyes.

I was late for work so I didn't park next to it and take pictures, but I'm sure it'll be there again. To the owner of that M5, thank you for the inspiration, lol.

P.S. - I got my M5 and I still have my wife

Since my purchase of my M5 2008 black/black, I have not seen another one on the road in Houston. Where are you guys? LOL. Well, if you see me, we're like brothers (Bemer that is), so pull up and say hi.

LOL! I couldn't think of a better reason to get a new M5!!! Washington street is a good pop'n spot. I don't go out much as I'm always working particularly now due to Tax season. Mid Town is a good hang out spot too, but I hate driving through downtown.

I too, am always in the Galleria area. To be exact, I work in the Cameron building across from Uptown @ Post Oak and 610.

Give me a shout if your ever down for a mini meet.

/Phi (Fee)

Sounds like a plan. I live and work around the area. I just never imagine getting so many accolades and respects when people see me on the road. Other Bemer owners even pull aside to cmment on how awesome the car looks. You know the feeling.

I would love for you to give me some pointers about my M5. I complaint to Advantage about sluggish acceleration, but they don't seem to be able to duplicate the problem. Any ideas?

I have an Indy Red/Sepang M5 and live out in Sugar Land and work in the Galleria area. I also know a guy who has a Black/Black M5 and he lives out in Katy. FYI, I am having some work done (front lip, spacers install and I had a Eurocharged ECU upgrade last week) at Eurowerks this Thursday. Also looking at getting an exhaust. Eurowerks is offering 10% off for the RPI Section 3 if anyone is interested.

I'm always up for a meet but better yet, let's organise a drive. I know Houston BMWCCA is organising a Blue Bonnet run on April 17, anyone going?
