Sunday Meet

Hey AshNZ... thanks for organizing the Uptown Park meet this morning. Good turn out. Lets do it again when cooler weather returns to Houston.

Don't forget the BMW CCA event at BMW North. Its well worth the day - Wash & Wax Technical event on November 8th. Don't let the title fool you, its more than washing your car. Everyone pulls thier car into the service bay, there are technicans offering car clinics, repair assistance, cool BMW logo door prizes, the parts store is open with large discounts, they feed you lunch, Randy the Ding Doctor is walking around repairing door dings (reduced fee)..... Its well organized, indoors and the event is free!!

I see the event is not yet posted on the website, but keep watching. Houston Chapter BMW CCA

Thanks for turning up! I think the morning was a success considering how quickly it all came together. Really nice to meet you guys - given the quality of people I met today I am very inclined to do this more, via M5Board or BMWCC Houston get togethers.

I compiled a list of Houston M5board members (by trawling) and have an excel spreadsheet with you board name and email address on it - I will be emailing you individually asking permission to 'publish' the list to make future gathers easier. I'll think about how to best do that later...

On to a few pictures:

I think Shawn is left handed...

Some shady character offloading 'legit merchandise' from his trunk...

The M6 and M3 interiors made me jealous...

Until next time.
Ash

** Thank you Ash! **

Thank you so much for taking the initiative and organizing this gathering. It is always such a pleasure to meet fellow enthusiasts! I am totally impressed by how fast you posted those awesome photos, that's German efficiency!

The pic of the 2 black M5s (Dr V10 and BMWM5 Driver) reminded me of this BMW commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRTKnD98xrU

Hope to see everyone again soon!

Sorry for bailing, fellas. Heat got the best of me after this morning's 16 miler.

Let's def meet up again in near future - maybe October - when it's not hot/humid as hell.

Have any of you checked out the monthly Uptown meet-up every 2nd Saturday?

Sorry Ashnz. I know I am a little late to the party, but I just got your PM moments ago. I wouldn't have been able to make it anyway. Nice turnout out though. Maybe next time.
