Engine/Head repair shop recommendations
Does anyone in the VA, MD, DE, NC, NJ, PA area have first hand experience with a quality shop who has pulled M5 engine heads for repair that they would recommend?
It seem that the leak-down test showed a 25% leak past intake valves of cylinders 1 & 2. That side head would have to come off and disassemble those valves to see 'just' what the problem is. It would probably be a good idea to reseat all of the vals on both heads.
The local dealer, BMW of Sterling appears not to have any experience in tearing down the M5 engine. I would like to find a shop who has done this and put it back together properly.
I also have an extended warranty, Repair Master, where a claim has been started for this issue and will/can work with them to have most all of the work covered by this warranty company.
Any help is most appreciated
George
