Bear Mountain drive this Sunday, JUNE 28

Who would be up for a nice drive up to Bear Mt. this sunday? Board member Razahyde will be in from Texas and I thought we could get some other M's together and have some fun.

Admittedly, I have never been to Bear Mt but I hear it is fantastic.

So who's in? Give that beast some exercise!

Hers it is on Google maps:

Do It Early!

If you are going to go make sure it is early AM...as it starts to fill up with bicycles and hikers and Police....
A more impressive auto ride would be to OBI on Sunday AM where he/you can see a VERY impressive collections of cars from Muscle to Exotic.
Regards

Agree with all points. But the twisties and scenery of Bear Mountain are much nicer than the OBI, which is more of a parking lot event.

I'd be down for a meet, but just how early in the AM are we talking?

Just looked at the forecast for Sunday and OMG the weather actually looks sunny

AM run is probably a good call. Maybe someone who is more familiar with Bear mt. knows of a good meeting spot? Plan to meet up around 7:30, and leave for the drive at 8?

That's where we went for the meet on May 16, although I liked the other twisties better.

******NY/NJ Semi Annual e39 Meet!! May 16th****** OFFICIAL Ultimate Drive!

Any ideas for a meeting spot? There is a large parking lot near 78 in Jersey City:

We guys from the South can meet there jsut behind Pepboys.

That is pretty far south from Bear Mt, right? That would work, though. If any guys north of there are interested, we can just meet them closer to Bear Mt.

Andrewsherman, Not sure how much earlier than 7:30 most guys would want to meet up. I'm already driving about an hour to the meet spot anyway.

So who ever is in, put your name down and cell phone number. That way we can all communicate if we get lost, or someone is late ect...

By the way, who ever plans to meet behind the Pep Boys in Jersey City, lets shoot to meet there at 7. Leave at 7:15-7:30 and try to be up in Bear by 8:15-8:30.

Me 7654300479

I would suggest the twisties on 17A first, then Bear Mountain, which is right next to it.

to: 41.229411,-74.186211 - Google Maps

Unfortunately, last time 17A East was closed so we had to go around to go to the mountain. I wonder if we could use Seven Lakes Pkwy off from 17 to goet there this time?
