June 10th marked the 3rd annual open house hosted by the guys at Enthusiast Auto Group. If you've been living in a cave and never heard of these young chaps, they only deal in high end, rare bmw's, all with extensive service records...some dating back to the boat ride over to the States. They always have a slew of e30 m3's, e36 m3s, and usually a few hard to find zingers to season the mix. Some of these cars are over 20 years old and have less than 6,000 miles, its nut! I had the pleasure of working with Evan a few years back when he found my (what I thought to be rare) black/black 540i/6 sport when they were still calling themselves "Car Locators". It wasn't long after I figured out these dudes not only knew their stuff, but were great guys too...and MAYBE they know how to throw a party B).
Regardless, it was great to go over there and pull the ol' camera out. I've been slammed with work and the house, so this was much needed to get back into the flow of things. I would've loved to pull a car too aside and go find a location and set everything up, but I ran out of light pretty quickly. It rained all morning so I was nervous they were going to cancel the event, but the rain just let up before the meet. They had food and "refreshments" which I took full advantage of, after I finished my photography rounds...only all the meatballs had been eaten, what the hell?! Couldn't someone save me a few meatballs? Guess I'll just have to wait for next year. Thanks to everyone who came out who made this event what it was. I had a great time talking with some of the BMW CCA members, the free drinks, gaulking over John's 335i, and mainly, test driving an M5 (Thanks BUMP! ps I now hate you). Looks like my 540i/6 will be for sale for an M5 as soon as I can, haha. Just kidding...well maybe not.
Enjoy the pictures! I apologize in advance for the annoyingly large portrait sized shots. I hate not being able to see the entire shot in my monitor, but after editing everything i'm just out of gas.
1. John Mu's 335i. Was on the cover of Performance BMW in May I believe

2. I thought the subtle C/F accents were done perfectly.

3. The thing has got some hips!

4. I love a great brake setup.

5. C/f on black. subtle, discrete, AND baller. love it. John left before I got a shot of the 335i in c/f on the trunk, straight sexy. John, gimme a shout and i'll get it!

6. my 540i/6. now inferior in every way to an M5

7. Kirk's m3 interior

8. Kirk's A/W m5. yes I want a a/w m5.

9. This m3 just pops everytime I see it.

10. Storefront with a uber-clean e30 m3 and eric's imported m5 wagon stage left.

11. Tc Cline rims on kirk's m3

12. I didn't catch the owners name but nice guy, very low and no rubbing!

13. Gotta love seeing a track-friendly m3.

14. My favorite e36 m3 on the lot. Something about the color just gets to me.

15. "Do these guys know how to party or what?!"

16. Another tasty bmw interior.

17. Yeah, i'd say it's clean.

18. Check out the reflections of clouds in the hood.

19. mmm...

20. the 335 does have some stereo kick too.

21. Can't beat a white bmw...unless it's an m3.

22. ...or maybe a white m5!

23. Supercharged e36 m3...I approve.

24. The black ***** hanging above.

25. Not even half the lot.

26. Another uber-clean e36 m3.

27. Straight off the track, and I'm always a fan of color matched lip on black wheels.

28. Vortech Supercharged dinan m3

29. And last but not least, brothers Eric and Evan (owners) enjoying a night away from work!
