Planning Roadtrip - Questions

So I'm planning a roadtrip with a couple of friends for August. I'll be driving from Arlington, VA to Denver, CO. The route that I have mapped out uses I-70 through OH, IA, MO and KS. Having never driven in these states, I had a couple of questions for you all:

-I am assuming that most of what I'll be seeing on I-70 will be straight road surrounded by various fields(corn/wheat). I also understand the limit will be 70mph. I don't plan on doing anything crazy but I don't plan on going the limit either. Having said that,
-What is the threshold(if any) for going to jail if pulled over in IA and KS? Triple digits?
- In Virginia, 80mph is an automatic reckless driving citation. Anything similar in KS or IA?
- Are there any areas to be extra careful in? Any areas of heavy enforcement?
-Anything else to be aware of, traffic law wise?
-Any cool sights on the way? We plan on minimal stops but if tehre's anything worth stopping for, post!

Thanks for any feedback! Looking forward to the trip!

I drove up and down 70 fair amount when going to school in pittsburgh, but haven't ever been pulled over for more than 20 over (graduated in 2003, so take this with a grain of salt if others chime in with better info). Illinois was always very heavy with police, especially around the missouri border, and ohio had a fair amount too, but indiana and missouri were always more laid back (although expect lots of cars blocking the left lane doing the speed limit or 5 under in ohio and around st louis) My experiences with missouri have been pretty good, cops will (usually) let you go 10 over, and haven't seen any heavy enforcement except in the st. louis area, but i haven't driven 70 through missouri much, just i-55 and i-44.
