American V-8 Supercars Announces Nitto Tire Deal

American V-8 Supercars is pleased and proud to announce the addition of Nitto tires as a premier sponsor for the 2005 racing season. This will be represented as AV8SS presented by Nitto tires. This partnership furthers the goal of AV8SS to become a professionally recognized series. Nitto has long been recognized in drag racing circles and we are proud to be chosen as their first foray into road racing. Nitto will be the spec tire for the AV8SS class and available for the unlimited class with contingency programs available for both. The race tire will be the NT555-R II until mid summer at which time the series will transition to the new NT-01 race tire.

This is a fabulous opportunity for the racers and the series.

NITTO ; welcome to road racing!

Details of the program are available on the "competitor info" .on www.AV8ss.com"

Our airfield events are completely safe based on years of experience, we conduct them during clear visibility with mature participants that have several years of experience with high-performance automobiles, large unobstructed run-off zones on sealed off private former military airbases and we clearly mark the braking zones. If inexperienced with high speed driving we do not recommend organizing your own event but attending a high-performance driving school.
