I'm a McLaren man, but a great result for BMW today.

I became a Ferarri man because of Schumi, myself. But, I was still happy to see BMW succeed. Also, my wife (Polish decent) was happy that Kubica finally won.
It was a great race to watch. Great driving by Kubica and Heidfeld, good teamwork by BMW/Sauber and it is apparent that the BMW cars are getting better all the time. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Hamilton hadn't created the fender bender at the pit lane exit. Awesome day for BMW!!

Have you guys watched any of the videos on the M division at the bmwusa.com site? They say there are engineers in the m division that also have worked on the F1 engines. COOL!! If you have any kind of M, that technology is trickling down to us.
Re. Ferrari...Funny thing is I'm 1/2 Italian and I can't stand Ferrari. They are the only constructor in F1 that makes ONLY high-performance cars. BMW, MBZ, Honda, Toyota & Renault make cars for the masses while Ferrari specializes in toys for the wealthy. Any time Ferrari is racing with a Honda or Toyota they should remember they up against a mfgr that also makes mini vans for soccer moms. I wonder how good Ferrari would do if they had to spend most of their R & D money on making safe family cars?
That race was amazing. I felt great for the team because I know they have been working like crazy to be competitive with the "big boys" and have been very modest about what they want to accomplish. Very deserving win. Mario Thiessen is doing great work there, I hope it's the first of many to come!
