Boner, go out and buy the latest issue of Hot Rod Magazine. Read the article entitled "Flashlight Drags" about an outlaw track in Pennsylvania that runs 1/8 mile drags. No ET or MPH just some street racing fun. Let me know if you are interested.

Oh heck yeah. Open all year round? Since I don't have access to a Hot Rod Mag at the moment, gimme some more details? Where is it exactly? When you say 'outlaw', I'm picturing some dude with a strip of poorly laid concrete in his backyard somewhere in Amish Country

They rent local airports in Western Pennsylvania and environs. In 2007 they had 15 events at 4 different airports. $20 to race on a Saturday afternoon. Street tires only. Their slogan is "Street racing without the jail time."

Edit: Website http://www.alteredgas.com/flashlight_drags.html

Oh snap! Their 2007 schedule is finished

I'm game. Is there a schedule? Website? How do you find out where and when they're running? And I'll ask again, do they run in the winter????

See my earlier post. They are finished for 2007 unfortunately. Could be fun in 2008.

Uh oh:

"In the event that your vehicle makes too much noise, even though you have mufflers, we will ask you to find a way to quiet your pipes or sit on the sidelines. Sorry, no exceptions."
