No, it's not the same gearbox as on the M·, because this is the "auto " box, switchtronic as Alpina call them.

I though it's basically the same box as on the rest of the automatic 6 box cilinders...

There's also the problem with the torque converter and the gearbox, probably on the limit of it's usage on the B3S.

Too much torque could destroy the ZF box, and alos you need to...

I have read that Alpina B3 engines in 3.0, 3.2 and 3.3 litre displacements are built around USA versions (cast iron) M3 engines of 3.0 and 3.2 litres with single VANOS.
