Brake fluid is hygroscopic which means it absorbs moisture. Old school maintenance recommends changing the brake fluid every two years regardless of mileage. So I would at least change the brake...

Well, there are more and more examples now of E60 M5s with 80,000 to 100,000 miles on them, so 72,000 miles is not as crazy as it once seemed. And that one looks to be in really nice shape.
