It was the thrust arm bushes as most folks suspected. All the fluid had come out of the O/S unit. I've fixed it now, but in a slightly more involved way than you might think....

ABO is almost 12 years old now, and has 144,000 miles or so on the clock. She's had some wobbles and vibrations for a while, but much like the 'Boilng Frog', you kind of don't really notice and get...
