My SuperSprint Headers are going in next week. I have no use for the stock headers so if anybody wants them, its yours for free.
Come out and get them, no shipping, local pick up only. Otherwise, it will be recycled metal.

I thought maybe someone that has one of those 8 thousand dollar overpriced Dinan Headers ready to sell his beast would want my stock headers so he can have it put on and get at least two thousand for his Dinan headers if he decides to sell his Dinan headers separately.

Give it another day or so....I suspect someone will take them for the cost of shipping. Would they fit/be an upgrade for a 540?

This M5board and its members have helped me so much and so many times over in the past that I would rather just give it away to one of our members than sell it in eBay. So I hope someone here wants it.
Great question. I used to own an E39 MY 2000 540i but I never paid attention to the headers on my 540. So I dont know if it will fit on a 540.
I do know this, per Beastpower Motorsports, the Supersprint headers will fit all E39's including 540 & M5 so it should fit a 540, but I am not sure.

For S&Gs I hit realoem.com and found something VERY interesting (atleast to me)
The M5 stock manifolds are the same that was used on the 540 from 95-98 (same part # even). After that they went to a style with cat right off the block...
Surprises me that they threw an old manifold on like that.
Even more insteresting, atleast the diagram looks it, the E34 540 uses same setup, different part #'s though...
Probably would be an upgrade to the 99+ since it would get rid of that Cat right there..
I think I understand why the headers make such a nice increase, damn things are for a 200hp motor!
