How Much Is My M5 Worth?

Hi All,

I am considering selling my E39 M5 and am requesting help evaluating its worth.
2000 Carbon Black/Black Red Sport Seat interior. 57K miles.

Full 2003 cosmetic upgrade including:
Celis rear lights, angel eye front lights (6000K), DVD navigation w/wide screen, newer style round center steering wheel, gray instrument cluster.

Other mods: 6000K HID fogs, Predator ICE AE’s, carbon fiber interior from FiberDesign, bird’s eye view upgrade nav. operating system, OEM Bluetooth, Dension IPOD ICE Link, 4 wheel StopTech BBK.

Excellent condition and very well maintained. Always garaged. Have owned since 8/03, 27K miles. All service records. Clutch, Inspection II and 4 PS2’s at ~50K miles. Have loved the car, but it’s time to move on – thinking 911 Cab…

I know it’s not an ’03, but I think it’s more than an ’00. Thoughts from Board members regarding value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

Another M to P! I just dont understand!

I would say $32-34 is a good place to start...
Fully stock should sell for around $28-30...
My 2 cents..

Hi Cami-

I agree with Matt. I know he and I have been researching them for some time now. The market is really soft for M5's these days, but it sounds like you have some nice conversions already in place on the 00.

I hope you folks are right. It seems that pricing should easily bring you a stock '01 with similar mileage, which comes standard with most of the "upgrades". Of course, condition is so important. If the selller can wait until April, the market should be a little better as the weather gets better.
Regards,
Jerry

Many thanks, guys.
I agree and am hopeful for mid to low 30's, otherwise it really doesn't make sense for me to sell the car; and, I'm in no rush.
The mileage is quite low for a 2000 (more in line with an '03 according to KBB).
Are either of you two interested?

Post some pics please...unless you've got an ad elsewhere (i.e. cars.com, autotrader, aso...). I'm sure others in the market would like to have a look .

Hey mtv65,

Thanks for the bump.
Still deciding on whether or not to sell...
Would like to trade for a 911 cab (obviously I would owe $ + trade).
It's been cold in the northeast and I haven't been able to detail the car for representative pics. Soon though.

Thanks again for the reply.

Here's another free bump . Any particular year 911?? C4S Cabrio perhaps? Does your car look somewhat like your avatar?
