WTB: E39 M5 Front Rotors

I upgraded to a full M5 brake system on my 540i/6 but the front rotors have run out of life and are slightly warped. I know many of you upgrade to BBK's so if you happen to have a set of front rotors that you'd be willing to part with fairly cheaply then PLEASE let me know! I don't mind used as long as they aren't warped. I'm Paypal verified and shipping would be billed directly to me so you'd just have to drop the rotors off in a box at Fedex.

I'd really like to get the floating rotors, but on a college budget (go Heels!) I can't exactly afford the $500 euro engineering . Hopefully once I graduate here in the spring I might be able to get into a 00-01 M5 (worked 3.5 years while in college so I already have a good job lined up)...

I'll be at VIR next weekend and can bring mine with me. You can take a look. Myself and MRichmond(E60) will running both days. You can give me what they are worth once you try them out. The car had 60k on it when I switched but they braked smooth. I am not original owner so I'm not sure if they are original.

Hey thanks for the heads up. Do you happen to have any pics of the rotors? Any lip, scoring, rust, runout, etc? I might be able to make it out Sunday (I'm going to a meet in Charlotte Saturday) but I'll know for sure by the end of the week. Also, do you have an idea of what price you're looking for? I'm not sure what the going rate for used rotors is ...I'm sure we could come to some happy medium though.

The cost would probably be less than the freight from VA to NC, these things are heavy! Your best bet is to show up and look at them, then flip me a couple of twenties and be done with it.

I'm slapping my new StopTech track rotors on tomorrow, that makes a slotted and a drilled set of those bad boys!(one track set-up, one street set-up)

Trust me I know about the weight...it cost me $90 to get the rotors, calipers and a set of pads shipped when I bought the whole system (that was with my company's GREAT discount...).

Price sounds fair enough, I'll definately try to be out there Sunday, maybe Saturday if I decide not to go to the meet. Did your second post mean that you have two sets available? A track and a street setup? Its funny that you even mention that b/c I've been looking into attending a few HPDE events and I'm sure it would be a great experience to see some of you guys out on the track! I don't have the power advantage of the M5 nor the handling prowess of the M3 but seeing as how I have the Dinan Stage 4 items, M5 sways, M5 brakes, M3 SSK and will be getting some new suspension pieces soon I'm sure it will be enough to have a little fun at the least!

Will you be watching the board and email or is there any other way you'd like me to contact you? Thanks again for working we me on this!

Oh and after looking through your sig I thought of another cheap ploy since I'm hear...

The last thing I'm looking to buy performance wise for my 540i/6 is LSD rear diff. I know you probably don't have it anymore but if you do please let me know...well last performance upgrade before I either S/C or upgrade to an M5...

The diffs require a core, so no diff here. I can get you one from BMW for a discounted rate if you like, still around 1800, which is the core deposit from Dinan. You will be hard pressed to find one for any less unless you find a junkyard that has one.
I have two sets of rotors for my StopTech kit and will keep both, they probably don't work with the factory calipers anyway.
