JUst doing some quick math, the Konis sell for about $250ea from Dinan.(JRZ's shown seperately for 500each, $1000 upgrade for JRZ's from Koni package, $250 difference = $250 for the Koni's)
I will make sure on Monday by calling. HEck, they may offer me a trade up. Used stuff is around 50% typically, making them worth about $500 for the set. Depending on what happens here, they will absolutely SAIL off of Ebay. Every 5series poser in America would levy the weeks(or two) Subway wages for them!

It's not that simple. Assuming you also have Dinan springs, you'll need different front springs for the JRZ's. So, plan on buying the 4 JRZ's AND a new set of front springs. As for the Koni's, with only 3k miles, 50% of new price (less current 10% rebate offer) is about right. HOWEVER, the buyer will have to buy rear springs AND mounting hardware for all 4(you'll keep yours for the JRZ's).

'Been there, done that. I know.

HEy Dan, thanks for the info. Like I said in my post, I plan on contacting Dinan on Monday. When I talked to them last month, they didn't say that I needed a new front set of springs. This is a "FEELER" thread, just for this type of stuff!

OK
According to Eric at Dinan:
- These Koni shocks will fit nicely under the stock M5 or 540 springs.
- He was NOT aware of additional hardware needed but if all hardware was needed it can be obtained from Dinan for less than $30.00.

So, I plan on proceeding in this advertisement for sale and pricing will be as follows.
Front high-pressure Dinan/Koni adjustable, new cost $336; 50% = $168ea
Rear high-pressure Dinan/Koni adjustable, new cost $211; 50% = $105.50ea
Total: $547.00

These shocks have approximately 3,000 miles on them, I can provide purchase information from Dinan.

I will need to get new front springs (Thanks Dan!) so the fronts will be available for sale as well. Although it is not Dinan's policy to sell the rear springs seperately, Steve told me that they would make an exception for me to upgrade to the JRZ's. If someone buys them, I will have him send an email to me including the sale and price as a guarantee.
The complete 540 spring set is only $410, I forgot to ask him what the rear only M5 springs would cost.

With the new front springs that I have to buy being $230 for the pair, I estimate the rear M5 springs will be similar in price.
So, buying the shocks from me at $550, my front springs for $100 and rear springs from Dinan at $230, one would have $880 in this set-up.

One last thing, if sold, the JRZ's are about 3weeks out, so I would need to get them in before I could ship the Koni's.

First, I would advise anybody considering this to GET THE SPRINGS!! The struts/shocks, alone, are good; but combined with those M5 application specific springs (which also drop the car about 3/4"), the car is truly transformed with better handling and preservation of ride quality.

Second, $880 for a Dinan/Koni set-up is a really good deal. Adding the rear adjustable sway (set to middle) would complete the pkg. Jayson, you will make some fortunate owner very happy.

Just my 2 cents.......

Dan

Preservation of Ride Quality....
That struck me in the face when I got in the car for the first time after installation. Dinan has there shiite together, and this car rides perfectly. I hope I don't lose much of that goign to the JRZ's.
Somewhere on the board I posted about a day at VIR and a comment that a corvette driver made. He was following me around the track and commented on how astonishingly stable, controlled, and smooth the car looked form behind going through the course. Most of that is a credit to Dinan's R/D and product delivery.
