Mint 03 M5 for sale. only 17.9k miles.

Due to my wife and I relocating I have decided to put my gorgeous M5 up for sale. I figured I would post it here on the boards for some of you to see. It just might be what you are looking for/

A little history on the car: It has a 4/03 build date. It was a special order car for an older gentleman in Seattle WA. He traded the car in to an Audi dealership in 3/05. Rasmussen BMW in Portland OR purchased the car and that is how I found the M5. I worked for Rasmussen BMW as a factory trained technician. The vehicle came in as a certified pre owned and as soon as I laid eyes on the car I had to have it. I have owned it ever since. This vehicle is not my daily driver but does get driven on nice days. The vehicle has never been tracked (road course, drag strip or street raced). The M5 is absolutely perfect and garaged kept with no dents/dings or scratches. This vehicle has not been involved in any minor/major accident of any kind. There has been no paint work anywhere on the car. Non smoker. It has the factory warranty and maintenance to the end of May (07) and has CPO to May of 2009.

Vehicle Specs:
The color is Carbon Schwarz with upgraded Nappa Heritage Caramel leather (has full leather including the dash). There are currently 17,900 miles on the car. The M5 has never been driven in snow or salt (has been in the Pacific Northwest its whole life). The vehicle has every factory option except for the rear sunshades. The vehicle has the rear spoiler delete but I have a new painted one still in the box if some one would like to put it on. I just recently added some Dinan parts (see list below). The tires have 85% tread left and the brakes have 80% left on both the front and rear. I have maintained the vehicle far better then the factory recommendations (the privilege of being a factory technician).

I have attached some photos of the vehicle. This weekend I will post some better pictures. I do not have any pictures of the Dinan upgrades yet since I just installed the parts not to long ago. I am looking to get 53K for the vehicle. Retail for the vehicle is 58K and private party is 53K. If you have any questions, please send me an email. Thank you for looking at the vehicle.

Dinan parts:
Cold air intakes
Stage 2 software
Rear mufflers
Front and rear strut tower bars
Short shift kit
floor mats
Supersprint X pipe

Seems like a fair price. Low miles, performance upgrades. 50K or 53K is a fair. Good Luck....

Good Luck with the sale, don't let lowballers put you down.

Car is a set at a good price.

Not gonna mention names, but there will be certain people who mention what auction cars are selling for and then lowball you.

Save your time, from those window shoppers.

Good Luck again

Very nice car. I think the mileage/condition along with the tasteful and useful modifications makes it a rare example. Wonder if I've ever crossed paths with you, I'm in Portland also. Rasmussen is a great dealer, every time I've gone in to browse for fun, or for my parents they have always been more than accommodating.

Michael_s, PinoyM5, Bisan, M5Kid I thank all of you for the great comments. I just hope my M5 will go to a good home. M5kid, I would strongly agree with you that Rasmussen is a great dealership. I highly recommend for anyone looking to purchase a BMW to go visit them. They will treat you with respect and give you the price you should pay. No one and I mean no one will be treated differently. I loved working for them and still to this day a part of me wishes I was still there. Cheers.

I was just re-reading this thread and I hope I didn't offend you. My comment was based upon the current E39 market v. your asking price. If I was in the market, I would certianly pay extra for a low mile, quality exmaple, like yours. I hope she finds a nice home at a price that is acceptable to you. Again, my bad if I seemed negative......

Michael_s, oh don't worry. No offense taken. I new what you were getting at. It is a little slow right now for some reason but after a few weeks i had my car sold. The buyer backed out at the last minute because he did not want a daily driven black car. It was understandable. How do you like your 07 six speed? I have driven a few 06 smg's but am really itching to get behind the wheel of the six speed. I have heard nothing but good things.

Kalik314, thank you for the nice comment. Much appreciated.
