FEELER: Set of 4 Dinan Wheels/Newer Tires + 1 Brand New Dinan Wheel - 5 wheels total

I have a set of Dinan wheels. 1 wheel is perfect, 2 wheels are very close to perfect and 2 have some scuffs. I assume they could be easily buffed out but have not bothered because I don’t know if I am a huge fan of the Dinan wheels (I really like the ACS Type 3 Racing!) I purchased them because I thought they looked nice initially and mainly because of their extremely light weight. I believe they are about 14 pounds/each. 275's in front, 285's in the rear -- absolutely no rubbing. Performance wise I have nothing bad to say about them. They do feel much more nimble and light on the car. One of the few things I have been able to tell a difference with. Nonetheless, I am indifferent about selling them. If anyone is interested let me know and I can take a few pics of the 2 that have marks and you can see what you think.

I purchased them from a guy who went to a huge BBK and the calipers would not fit behind the Dinan wheels. PM me if you are interested.

Drool!
I think my wife would kill me if I got wheels before getting a car... But I sure would love them!

Curious, I counted 5 rims... 1 perfect + 2 close to perfect + 2 with scuffs.

Pics of the scuffs?
Best of luck!
Matt

Edit:
I think Dinan calls them ~18#s. Which is still crazy light of a wheel.

I can try and get you some pics shortly. I purchased them with all the scuffs they currently have, so I dont really think they are the end of the world especially since they can be fixed by one of those mobile wheel companies. Let me work on getting you a couple pics of the wheels. I guess in all honesty you really have one that is scuffed because the extra wheel is brand new (never been mounted I dont think), still has the sock around it.

By the way, the tires that are currently mounted up are Michelin Pilot Sports and they have a ton of tread left.

Wow, I guess I dont know how to read.. Unless the title was changed from when I clicked to posted .

I looked at a car with horribly scuffed rear rims, he said the fronts cost him $500 to get repaired. But again, they were BAD shape.

$500 seems steep. My wife has 20" BMW wheels on her X5 that were mashed and the best (in my opinion) company completely fixed each wheel for $150 and that got them back to being perfect. I would check around.

Do you happen to know which BBK (calipers) were TOO large to fit behind those Dinan wheels ? If you do not know ... Are you still in contact with the person you purchased the Dinan wheels from to ask ?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I believe it is the new 8 piston Brembo BBK that will not fit.

Do you happen to know IF the 380mm (15") Rotors with the 4-piston calipers will fit behind those Dinan rims?

Are you going to be getting the ACS Type III Racing ? They are quite qwell ! If YES ... Are you going to be getting 19" wheels instead of the 18" which the Dinan's are ?
