I'm selling my 2003 (12/02 production) Imola Red with full extended (tan) Caramel leather. It has 21,200 miles and is still under BMW factory warranty until 12/06. I am the second owner. I bought the car used in March 2004 with 11,500 miles on it so you can see it's been babied. The first owner lived in New York state, the car is now in northern VA. There is no damage history and the Carfax is clean. I have the complete service history since new, and it is paid for. Accordiing to BMWNA only 0.5% of the entire 2003 M5 production came with this color combination. It has never been tracked, raced, abused or been in snow, and it has always been garaged, even at work.
Here are the particulars. The hand-waxed Imola Red exterior has virtually no swirl marks, but there are a few very small rock chips. The non-smoker interior with burlwood trim is mint and it comes with two sets of OEM BMW M5 floor mats (black and tan) and an OEM BMW car cover. It also comes with the enhanced bass M-audio system, fold down rear seats with ski bag and the smog recall (DME reprogramming) was also completed.
Over the past two plus years I've added the following upgrades that were all professionally installed because I am not mechanically inclined: Strong Strut shock tower brace, Powerchip Gold 94 ECU software, black Hamman kidney grills, Colgan mirror bras, prepaid Sirius satellite radio that runs through the Nav that has been updated with 2006 DVD mapping, the Sirius radio sits next to the 6-CD changer that is still installed (just swap the output cables), stock chromed OEM rims with black Kleen Wheel insterts that really make this beast stand out and keeps the brake dust off the rims, UUC EVO III with DSR short shifter, 18" Michelin Pilot Sport PS-2 tires with less than 4,000 miles on them, K&N filters (not installed), rear tinted window, and a Lidateck (Beastpower) rearview mirror ($900.00) for a remote Valentine 1 radar detector.
Why am I selling this beautiful low mileage beast? I am now using it as a daily driver and quite frankly, I'm tired of a clutch in the heavily congested DC-area traffic. BTW, the clutch is fine. That's it, no other reason even though I average 19.2 mpg. I'm asking $51,500 OBO but you're getting a beautiful low mileage car with most of the desired upgrades that are always discussed on this board. If you are interested and want pictures or would like to discuss this car with me, send me a PM or an email at my4ociousm5@msn.com.

You have the 2 most beautiful BMW has made in the previous 15 years ... THe e39 M5 and an 8-series ... Just as I do.
I have an '03 Carbon Black w/Imola M5 and an Arctic Silver '95 840ci with 50k on the clock and 13K miles on a NEW Motor (Nikosil exchange under warranty) from BMW.
I love BOTH of them equally.
Sorry to see that you are selling your M5.
I live in Los Angeles and I cannot believe that DC traffic is any worse than LA's traffic. Funny ... MY left leg gets stronger as the days go by! My doctor says it's good exercise seing that I'm a bit over 50.
You are 100% correct, the e39 and the 8-series are the best cars BMW has manufactured in a very very long time. Hold on to your 8, the 95-97's are future collectibles and they are now appreciating in value and desirability. My 97 850Ci is black/black with 82K miles. Several weeks ago I took third place among all participants (Porsche's, BMW's, Audi's, Mercedes Benz) at the all-German Northeast Concours d' Elegance. I'm very proud of that fact. I'm also in no hurry nor am I anxious to sell my M5. It is a wonderful car and a "keeper" if it doesn't sell. If need be I'll park it like my 850 and buy another Volvo to commute in. BTW, I moved from Orange County seven years ago and yes, the DC traffic is worse! I commuted to LAX from Brea and it finally got to me. Until recently I was able to take a commuter train into DC but I changed positions and must now commute. That is the only reason I'm selling my M5.

Huh, I have emailed this company about this vehicle. Trying to ascertain if it is at their VA location or Mesa, AZ location. AZ would be great for me. But I think it is probably at their VA location.
4ocious, did you trade this vehicle in? Any input on the car you can offer me aside from the above? Feel free to PM me. Thanks.
