Can you put some serious reinforcments on it...and use it as a "race" application? Or is that something that would need to be completely redesigned?

Yes it can be reinforced. I am certified to weld aluminum and I have some race car experience.

Would I possibly already be fimiliar with this subframe??

Im going to do some research on my current subframe... If it would be better to have a "beefier" one... I could be interested. It depends on how "beefy" mine is right now.
