Need Front Shocks, Yesterday

Hello all,

I think that my front shocks are blown on my 1990 E34 M5 self leveling shocks...I went to BMW in Regensberg (Germany, Bavaria) and almost fell down when the guy told me just how much one shock is (these smilies almost depict my reactions durning my visit to BMW)
Long story short I'm in the US Army and really can't aford that right out. can someone point me in the right direction or have a good old set they might want to turn loose?

Thanks,
JC

The usual "fix" is to go to a good set of aftermarket shocks and remove the self levelling system.
