WTB - Transmission from a '94-95 540i Sport

Hello Fellow Bimmerheads :

I am looking for a 1994-1995 540i Sport that is being parted out.

I am in the process of converting my '95 840ci (5spd. Automatic) to a 6-speed Manual Tranny and I will be needing ALL the various parts i.e. Pedal Cluster, Slave Cylinder, hydraulic lines, fluid reservoir, cross mounts, driveshaft mods, **clutch, **flywheel, **pilot bearing, **shift linkage, **throw-out bearing, etc.

** Performance Parts to be Upgraded & purchased NEW.

I have contacted a few choice vendors in search of the necessary parts and it seems that I have undertaken quite a task !

Hopefully ... By posting "Want to BUY Ads" like this one it be a little easier.

IF you know anyone that has a 540i Sport that unfortunately has been totaled or IF you know of one that is sitting in a Euro Junk Yard ... Please email me with the info at: edman2000@comcast.net

Many Thanks & Happy Holidays ! Drive Safely this Holiday Season.

Re: WTB - Transmission from a '94-95 540i Sport

I found 16 transmissions, ranging from $4k for a rebuild 12 month warranty unit... to $1.2k for a straight 'used' six speed. $1.35k for a unit with 85k miles.

PM if you want the source point. These are all in the USA.

Also found about 15 or so 840/50 wrecks. Who knows, you might find everything you need all in one spot.

You might be done shopping by next week.

Then the fun part begins.

Can you shoehorn a S62 in there?
