Re: White M5 on ebay

it says right on the auction its a salvage/rebuild title. the only lie he told was that its still under warranty.
we all know that wont fly.

Re: White M5 on ebay

OK, maybe 'scumbag' was a bit strong... He does say it has 500HP then say's "about that 500HP?- just going by what someone said"..

WHy wouldn't the warranty apply? Unless whatever accident caused the salvage is, in fact, the cause of a warranty claim, won't the warranty be 'good'? Practically speaking, of course, this may be moot in BMWs eyes... will they just flat out void the warranty?

Curious,

ard

Re: White M5 on ebay

i guess your right about the 500hp thing.
if the car is totalled , no car dealer will warranty it. if the car was totaled at a dealer they would know. ask a local bmw place to run the vin and see.

Actually, when I purchased a 97' Integra GS-R, it had a salvage title. I didn't have trouble with insurance coverage. And although I paid cash, when I sold it to a girl I new, she financed it with no problems.

Re: White M5 on ebay

I emailed him and he said he was told it had 5oohp.
I mentioned he might change the hp. because even a full S2 M5 has 470, not 500! The car has SOME mods, No headers. Hmmm what have we learned about hp. gains up to and until headers are done???
