Thinking of selling my 19 BBS LM's

I am considering selling my LM's and sticking with the stock M5 alloys, I may be old fashioned but I'm a big fan of the standard alloys and not drawing too much attention. The exhaust draws more than enough attention !

I may keep them but I do love the originals

A few guys at the South Mimms meet up were interested if I did, please send me a PM it may push me to make a decision !

I'm with you the stock wheels look great, and let people know it's less likely to be a fake m5

Different philosophies, you think it makes the car look less fake... I think it makes it a mean M5

But yet, people still think sometimes it's a "fake M5"

I was leaving a club in New York, and my car was parked in the front. My brother overheard some guys talking about it, saying "that's a fake M5. It's just a 540 with M5 wheels"

Anyways, the LM's are so beautiful on M5's.

Re: Thinking of selling my 19 BBS LM's

Thanks for the opinions, darned it's a difficult one..........

But I have decided to sell them, hopefully I won't regret it ! ............

With Kelleners back boxes most would think it's anything but a 540 !!

I think the aftermarket rims gives your a car some sort of personality or character. When you go to a M5 meet and all the cars are the same, it becomes old, very quick.Marion

I totally agree with Mvious. LMs are my one of my favorite wheels. Sorry to see you selling them.

Speaking of fake M5s, I'm trying to dress mine down like some members of the board have done. The M5 trunk badge is gone and I'm deciding between a 528i and a diesel emblem to replace it with. It will make it that much more fun when others wonder what blew them away.

Re: Thinking of selling my 19 BBS LM's

Who cares what other people think.
You know what you own, and thats all that matters.

Take them off only if YOU feel thats what you want to do. There will always be someone to talk s*it anyway.

Re: Thinking of selling my 19 BBS LM's

Here's a few piccies, there is a piccie of the front wheel on 'my car'.

They are luvly no question, I did the same on the RS, put bigger 18" split rims and it did look luvley and handle well, especially on turn in, then went back to the 17" mags.

For me the originals suit the car so well, find me some replica's made in magnesium and 19" and I'd buy them 2moro! (I know they don't exist...)

It's all personal taste as they say !
