For Sale... 1990 E34 M5 3.5 L RED

I have taken the hard decision to part with our dear 1990 M5. It is red (brillantrot) with light grey complete leather interior including doors, inst. panel, headlining, rear parcel shelf, etc. It is loaded with almost every option available and then some... incl. heated seats front and rear, electr. adj. front seats (drv. w/mem.), 4 seater with bin, matte line, rear spoiler, tilt sunroof, electric rear headrests, headlamp washers, automatic climate control, cruise control, 255/40 17 rears, and special equipment installed at factory: wheel turbines in body color (special heat resistant paint) and headlamp level adjustable from the interior (normally standard on the rest of E34 5 series but not available in standard M5 (due to self-leveling rear axle). New (5,000 km) gearbox and clutch, front wishbones and 4 shock absorbers (dampers). Car has 175,000 and is going strong. NOTE: One of the last non-catalyst M5 produced, will take Super Leaded or 98 octane unleaded. Only proud owner, factory approved dealer service. like new. Absolutely sound mechanically. Price is steep: 25,000 Euros (maybe this way I will convince myself to keep it until I die). Car registered and delivered in Spain unless special arrangements are made.

meissner,

Everest isn't as steep as you're asking price

btw if you find someone willing to pay your asking price ask him if he has a friend who wants to buy mine

I was gonne say !!!

25,000 euros, thats what, £17,200 or $27,000.

The options don`t add much, there are too many cars around, but maybe Spain is different??

New gearbox and shocks, but it`s a 1990 so non-EDC. 150k? I presume that`s km not miles, so a little way before big engine bills, but otherwise, I just don`t get the price.

That car in the UK at the moment would struggle to get £6500 on the open market, that`s €9300, on the likes of Autotrader.

At a specialist dealer, to the right person, maybe £8500 (€12,300) if it`s as mechanically perfect and filled with toys that someone wants.

Good luck selling, but £17,200 is only about £3,000 away from a 1999 E39 M5 in the UK if you look hard !!

Ivan.
