For sale is a used set of Diamond Audio S500A HEX Series - 5 1/4" 2-way Component System with Aluminum Dome Tweeters
This a general for sale post. I will not confirm fitment for any BMW's.
These speakers date back to 1996 purchase time frame, used in my daily driver at the time until 2001. At that time, I purchased a new car and pulled all the audio upgrades out. These speakers have sat in my closet since 2001.
One of the faces for set screws on one of the woofers has been rounded out, so there is no way to remove that set screw without notching it or drilling it out. There is enough speaker wire left pre-installed into that speaker to attach to new wire.
One of the crossovers (pictures on the right) has some scratches across the heatsink fins. Everything was completely functional at time of
pull, and they have sat in my closet since 2001. There is no damage of any kind to the woofers cones and tweeters.

Diamond Audio has released an updated version of this speaker sometime in 2009. But up until then, as far as I know, these have been the same long standing speaker design since the late 90's.
