2001 Great Shape Powdercoated OEM Rims & Tires.

First,

I would like to apologize for the lack of pictures at the present time. I will post some after work. Wheels are in great shape. Rear tires are about 50% tread maybe a tad less. Fronts are like new.

Asking $1500 but open to FAIR offers. Also, willing to take a partial trade for some Bosch (no VW) Mafs! Also may consider some other cool parts..who knows.

Thanks guys.

rims and tires

Guys I feel like a moron posting this without pics or details. I just wanted to give some people looking a heads up. The tires I don't even remember (I just bought this car) but they are not junk tires. The previous owner did everything nicely. As soon as I get some pictures I will PM the parties interested in proper order. The guy from Michigan will get first dibbs pending his response to my PM. The wheels are in GREAT shape and two of the tires are like new.

Another note..also willing to take some front splitters as a partial trade. Even if someone wants to buy them and send em to my address I will knock off the cost on the wheel/tire price.

Obviously, any shipping will be at the buyers expense and not deducted from the price of the wheels/tires.

I appreciate everybody looking and also the patience.

Pictures coming soon....

Biggest misconception about the MAFs referred to on the board as "VW MAFs" is that they are not Bosch... they are in fact Bosch... now.. some people have had no problem with them and others have. But to help you clear it up they are both Bosch products identical in look but have slightly different part number and the VW ones don't have clip to lock in the sensor wire. For me they were virtually the same thing... I went back to the OEM part number and had no difference in performance and or gas milage.

As for your wheels... pics pics pics. 1500 is a bit steep for a powder coated set in my opinion but I am looking to buy a set of OEM and powder coat or paint them black...

Are you willing to sell them without the tires?

Thanks for the clarification, though it does not change my position regarding the MAF's. I still don't want any product that is not intended directly for this car....VW anything will not be used for me car, the same, different, don't care. I do appreciate you clearing up that they are Bosch though.

I honestly do not believe the price is steep at all. I have looked at several other threads on people selling their "ok" condition rims for similar prices and mine are in far better shape. These wheels look new with no dings, dents or curb rash. If you believe the price is steep, I would respecfully ask you to look for another set. I am quite sure someone who wants a good set of OEM wheels will pay this price or come pretty close.

As for seperating the wheels from the tires, I see no purpose. Two of the tires are like new, while the other two are pretty worn, though good for a season i'd say. I am not charging anymore money for the tires really....

Anyway, as promised here are some pictures. I would appreciate any offers etc to be sent via PM and not posted here in my thread. I understand everybody has their opinion, and that's great. I don't need people posting here telling me that the wheels are this and that and that my price is too high. If I hear from multiple people that the price is too high, I may reconsider my price. However, after some research I honestly believe my price is pretty fair. The wheels are beautiful. Buy a set up some banged up ones or ones that need refinished for what? $1000? Mine are $1500 and are GOOD to GO!

Pics look great... but how are they powdercoated? And your opinion on the OEM MAFs is the same as mine... thats why I went back to the BMW Part number... just want to be sure im not losing any power... but the VWs did do fine for me.

Dude, after I wrote that little rant I realized it could be portrayed as aimed at you! I felt pretty bad. I had a bad day at work and was just venting. Not intended at you!!

As for the powdercoat, i have no idea how they are. I figured they were OEM. I bought the car from an Enthusiest who cut no corners, so I assume it's all grade A. Working on getting more pictures here..
