Thanks for the question....happy to clarify.
There's specific front & back & then there's the universal "Smartlink" type Bosch came up with. Here's info on Smartlink & a screenshot from the Bosch vehicle specific part page.
Info (just Googled "Bosch Smartlink"):
Bosch has introduced the patented OE SmartLink oxygen sensor connector system. OE SmartLink allows 14 OEM-specific, heated oxygen sensors to cover up to 96.2 percent of all OE domestic and import vehicle applications by simply installing the patented connector system onto the existing wire harness.
The OE SmartLink system includes an OEM-specific, heated oxygen sensor that comes standard with a 24-inch wire harness, which allows for replacement of any worn or damaged wire in the existing OE sensor harness.
“Bosch invented and leads the industry with automotive oxygen sensors. The Bosch OE SmartLink system allows our customers to maximize their inventory and rapidly meet their customers’ needs while providing traditional Bosch sensor quality and durability,” noted Tim Kruto, product manager, Engine Management Products for Bosch.

So it sounds like to me.....maybe leave a little bit of your existing sensor wires attached to the harness (keep it plugged together) and then trim the 24" new wires down to size & use the provided adapters to finish the hook-up. I could be wrong....but that's what it sounds like to me. I haven't taken the parts out of the boxes.....but there's a pic below.
And.....these will fit a crap load of other BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Audi, VW, Saab & Porsche....but the list of applicable vehicle manufacturers/models/engines/years is way too long for this post......so PM me if you're interested in the long list.
