I'm at the starting stages of selling my M5. I love the car dearly but don't have the garage space and need something I can put my dog in and tow some jetskis (no, my dog has never so much as put her nose on the M5!).
2003 Carbon Black, black leather, black suede headliner, aluminium interior trim. I am the 2nd owner, non-smoker car, never had food or drink inside, clean Carfax, purchased from Texas (no rust, I live in Washington, no road salt). I purchased the car 2 years ago with 49k miles and have only put 10k on it. Current odometer is just under 59k miles. ALWAYS garaged, rarely driven in bad weather as you can see from the mileage.
Eisenmann exhaust, Gruppe M carbon fiber intake, clear front corners, carbon black BMW medallion.
Every available option except Bluetooth phone - navigation, M audio, rear power shade, rear side window shades, cold weather package, parking distance, headlight washers, CD changer, good tread on tires, etc
When I got the car it was under warranty. I drove it for a week or so, noting every flaw, however minor (2-3 pixels out in the dash display, gas guage innaccurate below 1/4 tank, one time nav screen didn't turn on, etc). Gave the car to the dealer for a week and they replaced -everything- that was even the slightest bit wrong. Whole new dash cluster, etc. There are zero known issues currently, after a full service 2 inspection.
Faults- there's a small crack and some scrapes on the front bumper cover bottom, passenger side - honestly not noticable unless looked at up close. I've decided I'll try to sell it at $1k less for this, since that's roughly the replacement quote I got. If it doesn't sell, I'll have it replaced and up the price slightly. Some curb rash on the wheels. Some rock chips, typical of a 60k mileage car. Driver's side front floormat could use a replacement, I'll get new mats if it sells for a decent price.
Paint is like glass, NO SWIRLING. Just got an $800, 7 stage, 8 hour exterior treatment - the paint is as flawless as the car has seen since the factory. I have the mount for the front plate but it has never been mounted, no holes in the bumper cover. All of service 2 will be completed before sale - only thing remaining is the SuperBlue brake fluid flush.
Pictures coming soon - car is getting an extensive interior detail and, assuming no rain (has not seen a drop since the exterior detail 3 days ago), I will take it out for a lengthy photo shoot.
This is an exceptional, head-turning car. I drive on roads flooded with AMG Mercedes that can't take their eyes off the M5. The exhaust and intake sound ridiculously nice - tough to keep your heart from fluttering when you fire it up in the morning. Recorded it with my crappy camera here -

Writing this up makes me a little sad. I might need to take it for a quick drive when the detailing's done
