Car is in Southern California. I am the original owner and the car has never been wrecked and has always been garaged.
The car has 31k miles on it and has the full S3 package on it. #5

The car also has the carbon fiber interior kit, light weight Dinan wheels and brand new tires. I also put everything they offered on this car from every suspension upgrade to brakes.

Sex on wheels!
Goodluck with the sale, wish I could afford to even test drive the car

I love the wheels, have had thoughts of doing similar to my car...

Where in SoCal are you at?
Matt

I tried to access your pix but was blocked (at work) due to 'pornography'. I guess it really is sex on wheels!

A very nice, low mileage Dinan M5. 'Love your black, powder coated Dinan wheels on your all black themed car.

Obviously, you decided to join this forum to list your car for sale. 'Wish you had participated here previously, as there are 6 - 7 member S3 owners (among ~35 completed S3's), and only 3 of us have been active. Historically, 'been much curiosity/questions/misinformation about S3 pkg. As an early (S3 #5) conversion customer, your input would have been invaluable. But, "water under the bridge" now.

'Have just a few questions, if you don't mind (answers will provide details, that may help sell your car):

a) When did S3 conversion occur, and how many miles since?? Have you had any issues since conversion?? Was your conversion done by Dinan??

b) Did you keep stock 3:15 diff, or is it Dinan's 3:45??

c) Is wheel/tire set-up "square" (9.5" or 9" fr/9.5" rr wheels and 275 tires all around) or staggered?? What new tires do you have on your car (including size)??

d) 'Not familiar with CF interior kit. What vendor did you source this from??

e) Are your stage 3 struts/shocks Koni or JRZ??

f) Do you have Dinan's bespoke S3 clutch/flywheel ('cause it wasn't offered/included on early S3's)?? Also, 'assume your BBK is Dinan/Brembo, and you have Dinan SSK??

You're selling the car to make room, 'cause you have too many cars. From personal curiosity, what are you keeping instead of the S3?? 'Understand most folks desire for periodic general change in their rides. But I've extensively test driven ALL current, high performance sedans/big coupes (seeking something newer that I liked), and always come away disappointed (on an objective and subjective basis, when compared to my S3; relative to total performance envelope/overall car). But, "to each their own".

Anyway, GL with sale. Whoever gets this low miles beauty will be VERY happy; yes indeed.

Yea, well I have been around I just haven't posted. But I have been reading or scanning the board for years

I'll try to answer as many of your questions as I can.. Im currently at work and don't have the car to look for some of the answers

a. My S3 was done by Dinan. I shipped the car to them. I replaced the clutch and flywheel since the conversion.

b. This car got each and every new Dinan part as it came out. So when they had the new diff I got it. When they had headers I got it. When the aluminum flywheel came out I got it. (of course I went back to steel when I got the blower)

c. There is a small stagger I believe. The new tires I bought are Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star spec... 245/40/18 275/35/18

d. I don't remember offhand who did the CF kit. It was reffered to me by my local BMW dealer.

e. I wanna say JRZ but I can't confirm atm

f. considering I just replaced all of that Im 100% sure I would always get whatever the top of the line is for anything on that car.

I VERY much understand your theory with finding a new replacement and nothing fits. The M5 was my first real sports car I owned. I love the sleeper factor that it gives. It can spank a porsche at a light and also
drive you and your family accross the country. It's a one of kind and my favorite car I have ever owned. And I have a pretty nice list. It simply comes down to room. I don't have time to drive it. And I don't want to put too many miles on it. Thus it sits a lot.

MBZ CL65 AMG nearly 700hp after upgrades
Dodge Ram 4x4 and Cadi Escalade on 24's for the wife.. lol These are my family cars and driven the most.

Saleen S7 Competition Model (For Sale)

Ferrari F430 Novitech complete. 707 hp

Aston Martin DBS

I have one big problem with all of these cars. They are all so expensive and I don't want to track them. So I decided to build a car that if I hit
a barrier wall or some tires with it would cost me 5-15k to fix instead of 1/4 million.. lol

2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO full caged, sleeved, cosworth crank, pistons, and everything else. Car has full roll cage, nitrous, and every other crazy thing I thought I might want as a kid. lol Should be 600+ horse with no NOS... can't wait

Awesome fleet and good luck with the sale.

PS. Why did you choose the EVO (besides the cost) for a track car?

Aston Martin DBS
Actually, DBS will do. 'Have one on order. 'Will still keep my S3, though. DBS will be the multi-day road trip car; relegating Porsche to just track duty.

Thanks

I chose an evo because I was at an Aston Martin track day last summer and it was put on for the deals but hosted by ESX who primarily builds Subaru's. After watching those things scoot around the track I was sold. I also like the EVO because it's kind of a sleeper. Simular to the M5.
