does this work with E39? do i need to also have a differing reciever if mine is a 00? sorry for the technical Q's...

This model will work in an E39, however your radio would need to be the BM53/54 that supports the AuxIn/Sirius connection.

The Sirius module connects via iBus to the CD changer connection. The larger connector is for a passthrough cable allowing an additional CD changer connection.

I haven't kept up with the latest threads but if it is still the same, you would have to upgrade your radio also.

Thanks Fellas. I did upgrade to MKIV and 16x9, now it sounds like i would need BM53 and this unit above. roughly $800 more in upgrades...

one more Q, how does the antenna work? currently have an FM modulator Sirius unit and has an antenna on the trunk.... Thanks!

There are a bunch of antennas but the one i was going to use was a magnet. There are lots of places to put it depending on what you want to do.
