Click the paperclip icon along the top row when you have the new post window open. You should then be able to upload pics to the board's server. If not, then there may be a min post count requirement or something. If so, you can host the pictures elsewhere and use the insert image icon to paste in the url of the image location.

What price are you asking for the car? What sort of provenance do you have for it going back to the original sale? Has this car ever seen winter weather? Rain? Always garaged? Are you the original owner?

Chuck

Hey give me you email address and i'll send you the pics. i don't have a url to post (they are on my pc). The car was owed until 2006 by the original owner. he sold it to another man for 2 weeks, as a track car with 68,000miles then the new owner decided it was way too nice to ever put on the track and so he sold it to me. The original owner and i were the only two people to put any miles the car. It was always been garraged except about 3months. I live at wilmington and felt it was too close to the beach and too nice even with a garrage. So i have been storing it in Roanoke Va for the past 1.5 years. I have never driven with the stock wheels on it, they are complete and in storage. The light thinning of the driver's seat die is only the dye. The seats are beautiful other than the thin dye on that seat. All that would be needed is to have that bolster (and leg support if desired) redyed.

I just Had it in the Shop to get the Valves adjusted and Diffs/ Oil changed. They actually told me that the valves were fine and did not need to adjust. I had them put it up and look everything over for preventative measures. they said all that was needed was the Seal on the shifter has a small leak and the Guebo has receeded a little and will need to be replaced at some point. I will have this done before i sell the car and new seal. All work was done at Martin's German Service in Roanoke Va (very good shop, but $).

I am not sure of the market right now for this car nor what having only 80,200 does to the price. I only know that this is the best e28 i have ever seen and i looked 5 years to fine one in this cond. There is one on Auto Trader with i think 130,000 and BBS/ Brembos and tinted windows. I think the guy wants 25,000 (way too much unless that is what you are looking for). I would bet mine is in much better cond and mine is all original asside from B&B triflow and DINAN (from factory). I also have the stock BMW Stereo. I never wanted to buy a classic M that someone else had bolted on tons of extras bc they probally used the car rougher than I wanted to buy.
I am fine using an e28 M5 on the track but it should be a mid to high milege and already have road rash or less than par body.

hey not sure why, yesterday i wrote back a pretty long responce then hit post and it was gone? well here it is. I got the car in sept of '06 with 68,000 on it. i had looked 5 years for a near perfect e28 M5 unmolested and low miles, for a daily driver. Then gas was going up and i was driving many highway miles and racking up the tac. so i decided to get a daily driver and keep the miles down. I then decided to bring it up to Va to store in a garrage. It was garrage kept in NC but i didn't trust the salt air and for some reason it kept getting dusty even though it was inside.

The car drives as close to new as i can imagine. Nothing (other than stuck head rest) doesn't work on the whole car. Even the SLS is perfect and inovative for the time. They should have put a 6 speed in it for highway speeds but fith will easily last beyond 130mph + without nearing redline. Tons of power throughout power band, even at that speed with my thule roof rack and mt. bike on the car.

I have no stories really except once on a date driving home some stupid kids threw a rock that hit the roof and put a small ding on it. I have never done more than touch up due to it only being noticable if you're looking for it. Still i would have loved to talk to their parents.

Over all it has been my favorite car and it is the nicest i have ever come across (including that one on autotrader asking 22,500 or 25,000). That one has many highend extras but also has over 60,000 miles more. Personally i looked for original cond and low miles over a set of brembos, bbs rims, and coilovers, but if i were going to fix it up that guy did it right and it still looks very clean with the mods.

ok that is all for now

not sure if you're a member or not, but it wouldn't hurt to post this on MyE28.com: BMW E28 5-series Resource - Index. sorry if this is something you already have done.
