checking interest, not sure how in demand these parts are or exactly what price they'd go for
all parts have 70k
excellent condition:
2500 heads w/ cams, fresh from machine shop (resurface, valve job, pressure test)
1800 both vanos units, unsure if these have any issues but car was running fine before
500 wiring harness, injectors, fuel rail
700 throttle bodies with intake gaskets
400 intake manifold (upper/lower/stacks)
400 crankshaft
300 oil pan (upper/lower/pump)
need work:
500 block, 1 cylinder is cracked - candidate for sleeving?
100 pistons, need to be cleaned up, new rings

this one ingested some water and bent a rod, it looks like a scratch but I think it is a slight crack in one of the walls about 1/2 inch from the pressure. The block is perfect other than that. Heads were pressure tested, no leaks/cracking and are excellent after being refreshed.
Looking around I actually have all the parts (heads, block, intakes, wiring harness etc) for a turbo/supercharger build up. Sleeve the block, run forged pistons and drop this motor in. I would do it but I'm not interested in going the forced induction route with my m5. I'd do a package deal on the price if you wanted everything.

I would like to sell the heads/cams and bigger stuff first before I get into other misc parts.
Did anyone ever try putting s62 heads on m52 block? I'm not sure how different they are.
Just to recap, I have all parts to build and drop in a full engine, just need to sleeve the block and get rods/pistons.
What about send the block to a shop to get welded then recoat? It cost 2200 to me to get full re coted, you can also ask the factory bore then reuse your pistons. Also I will guess the price just for the factory pistons rings will be the same than the price of full set of forget pistons at VAC motorsport... You will get a brand new rebuilded block. Lot of people didn't like my idea about the Nikasil but after 3500 miles, the oil level just don't even moved on the stick compare to the alusil block which take about 1liter each 500 miles...
