Wow.

2500 miles left for 9 months worth of payments?

Maybe I'm a pessimist, but you're going to need a lot more of an incentive for someone to want to take this type of lease over for you knowing that they're going to have to pay at the end for your mileage consumption

Agreed. If you divide the amount of payments by the number of miles allowed, it comes out to $3.80/mile before factoring in gas or insurance! To me, that's extremely high and I can't limit myself to just 280 miles a month. It's nothing for me to put on 280 miles on a day trip. However, I'm sure you will be able to work out something with a potential "buyer". Good Luck!

2008 BMW M5 $1077.00 Lease Assumption

1st off I would be willing to give a bigger discount if someone asked.fficeffice" />

Let me do the math a different way.

Ex. 2008 BMW M5 Lease Assumption on Leasetrader(Cheapest One I Could Find)
2008 BMW M5 Sedan car lease $1,293.48 - San Diego, California 92130
Sorry in advance, if this is your car it looks beautiful and is a good deal.

Owner is asking $1293.48 per month X 16 months =$20,688.00
Plus sales tax (conservatively guessing it will be $2,500.00 depending on the state it is transferred to).
$2500.00 + $20,688.00 = $23,188.00
Monthly that is $1450.00
Now the mileage issue
This 08 M5 is allowed 747 miles per month

My 2008 M5 is $1077.00
New owner does not have to pay sales tax.
If you wanted to have 747 miles per month on my car that is 747 X 9 = 6,723 miles.
6723 miles - 2500 miles (Miles my car has left) = 4223 miles
4223 miles X $.20 (BMW charges per mile)= $ 1045.00
$1045.00 / 9 months = $117.00 per month extra for the additional mileage

$ 1077.00 per month plus $117.00 (miles) = $1194.00 per month Total out of pocket cost.

You are saving $ 256.00 per month....with my 2008 M5.

That doesn't sound like such a bad deal to me. I haven't even figured in the snow tires & I won’t. They do not have that much value being used.

Thanks Again for the feedback.

Go on leasetrader...big incentives. And keep in mind that the advertised price for a lease assumption (or a sale) is usually ALWAYS higher than the number the deal actually closes at...

Why now

I am curerntly working on a project that is very far from my home. 2 hours all highway miles.

My concern is the miles I will be putting on the M5.

I am looking at what it will cost to get another car.

What car should I go with?

I do not know if is worth it?

Should I just keep the M5?

If you're concerned about putting the miles on the M5, I would just get another car for that and keep the M5.

100 miles each way, 200 per day, 1000 per week, 4k per month.

For the next 9 months it will cost you $800 per month.

I suspect that will be the most cost effective solution.

I can't see someone else having a burning desire to own an M5, pay $1180 a month and then have to pay the same $200 per 1000 miles you would need to pay....
