Claims it is an S2. I see missing pieces to the S2 kit.

Missing pieces

I was the one who ask questions about the Dinan upgrades on the car on ebay. When I saw the car initially, they listed it saying "Dinan upgrades" but nothing else. Being that I am on the hunt for Dinan parts I made the suggestion to list the upgrades specifically and all I got back was a response stating 30K of receipts and that is was stage 2? Definately not a S2 unless some parts were removed like front strut brace.

My impression is that this person has no clue what they are selling or something else. Looks nice in the pics.

IR car...

Just because it doesn't have a FSB doesn't mean it's not an S2...in fact, earlier S2's didn't have it because their velocity stacks required a spacer for the plenum which didn't leave enough clearance between the top of the plenum and the bottom of the FSB.

So, is the wife selling the hubby's car?

I'd never close a straight ebay sale- sure, set up a pruchase agreement, fax over the Dinan receipts, do the PPI, etc,

I did not pursue the deal any further because I already have an M5. I was just nosey about what Dinan upgrades that were on the car. I am begining to regret the comment about perhaps the person does not know what they are selling obviously it is me that doesn't know anything I just would imagine that anyone selling the car would list the upgrades.....just me I guess.
Ard, perhaps it is the wife...

The "seller" - icewoman76( 1 ) .

So ...might be the wife......She knows about the 30k upgrade. Smells like a scam to me. I'm on the hunt for that color combo.

The S2 modification can be and was done on any M5 from '00-03...and as stated, the EARLIER S2 package had different V/Stacks which were later modified by Dinan to allow for the FSB... ergo, an S2 need not have a FSB to be a bona-fide S2 any more than an M5 with a FSB is an S2.
