WTB: M5 enhanced bass option subwoofer(s) (USA)

I would like to upgrade the crummy stock stereo system in my 540i-6 (who doesn't). I would like to keep it as stock as possible and I don't want to take up trunk space. So to improve bass frequencies.... I thought about installing 1 of these subwoofers. Did you ditch these speakers to install those sweet 15"s??!! Help a brother out.

thanks, Scott

p.s. would also consider the DSP subwoofer assembly.

I hadn't really put much thought into it-what are they worth?

I have a pair of alpine dual voice coil 10"s new in boxes and may consider doing the swap if it makes sense...M-Audio upgrade in my 01 e39 m5...

not sure what you mean ???

I am looking for a pair of the M-audio subs .. if it is just 10" subs I can do that myself.. i mean make a box and all ... just looking for a OEM "M-Audio" subs .. is that waht you have ??

not sure what you are saying ..

alternatively I may see what I can do if I start with the DSP sub box that is currently in the car AND also ON the shelf in the garage too (since I have 2of them) ......

BUT if there is a set of the twin 10" BMW OEM subs to be had I rahter start with that .. and then maybe if needed trade out the drivers ......

thanks .... let me know ....

Sorry...it made sense in my head.

I have an 01 M5 with the M-Audio upgrade (2 deck mounted 10" subs)

I ALSO have two aftermarket alpine 10" DVC speakers leftover from a previous project...I hadn't thought about replacing the M-audio stuff because quite frankly I can't find anything to complain about. I think I've grown out of the "letting people 3 cars over feel the bass in their chest" phase...

What are the OEM M-Audio subs worth? I'd imagine shipping would take a healthy chunk out of the price and probably make it a local only deal style, but never hurts to ask, right?

I hear ya on the keepin my tunes to myself .. still like to turn it up a bit now and then... when Im by myself usually .. the 540 subs really leave alot on the table ..

I might still be intested in the M-Audio stuff if you want to sell it ..... othere wise I can make my own .....MB-quart stuff has been pretty good for me ... have used it in a few cars ... good sounding drivers .......

let me know ...
