16:9 Widescreen and MK4 Navigation For Sale

I have a 16:9 widescreen and MK4 navigation computer for sale. These were going to be installed in my 2003 BMW 540iT wagon but the project has been scrapped.

I'm considering putting them up on eBay but before I do, I would like to try and sell them through the board first. I would like to get $500.00 for the 16:9 widescreen navigation and $800.00 for the MK4 navigation computer. I can include free shipping anywhere in the country.

Items are in excellent condition.

One thing I would like to add to this is the part number for the 16:9 widescreen monitor is 65-52-6 934 413. The MK4 computer is 65-90-6 942 908.

interested in 16:9 if you are willing to ship to Toronto, Canada
is there another number on this unit? i just want to make sure its not off an X5 as the view angle on the screen will not be great on e39. i know there is a way to fix the view angle but i really don't want to take it a part.

also i take it that the unit is in excellent shape without any dead pixels. if you could provide the manufacturing date it would be great too.

I would have no problem shipping to Canada.

The other BMW part number on the unit is for the screen itself which is 65.52-6 923 878. This was made by Alpine and their part number is RD1BJ01A. I didn't see any manufacturer date anywhere on the unit but I did see a number which said 18/05 which could be the 18th week of 2005.

When I purchased this the seller had it listed as coming from an X5. The first part number I listed in my previous post will identify for sure. I wasn't worried about it coming from an X5 since I had to do the same for my M5 when I bought a screen for that one and the adjustment procedure is not really that complicated and I have detailed instructions saved on how to do it. Takes about 30 minutes from start to finish and that is being careful.

I know you said you like to get 500 for it, can you PM me the lowest you can take on this unit? i dont want to low ball but i dont want to pay too much either, take a look at ebay auction that has ended and the unit came off an M5 so there is no need to modify the screen angle. honestly i rather buy from fellow member.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...161430572&rd=1

Does anyone know if using an X5 screen requires a mod that is easy/asthetically unobtrusive? What is required?

Mpowerme

is the 16:9 screen you are selling the same one you had problems with last year as per post below?? 16:9 Widescreen Not Same For X5s and M5s

"The shock I received was not a snap sound like static electricity. This was direct current which seems to have given me a zap when I touched across two points in just the right way. In essence I became ground for a source that was hot. I did smell a slight burn smell after the incident but just figured it was my finger from the shock.

I just got this screen off eBay this past weekend for right around $575.00.

I thought at first I might have sent a surge to my nav computer and that was the problem area but once I installed my original 4:3 screen everything works fine again.

I wonder if I perhaps blew a small fuse of some sort on the screen itself but I don't see any fuses. I'm not a circuit board bench tester so I have no idea what to do to test and isolate the problem.

I would buy another screen and connect it to my tape unit but what if the problem is on the circuit board that the copper ribbon cables connect to.

I'm going to do some more searching on the M5 Board and see if anyone has had the same problem where they loose all functionality with the buttons but still get power to the screen and images.

The skeleton in my closet is revealed. Seriously, let me clear up some confusion a few have had.

This 16:9 screen I'm selling is a second screen I purchased that I was going to install in my wife's 2003 BMW 540iT wagon. I never installed it and it's been in the box for about six to eight months now since I originally bought it.

The 16:9 screen that I installed in my M5 but got shocked and couldn't get the buttons to work (the screen did always work and kept track of maps, etc.) was fixed by an electronics friend of mine and for about a year now that screen has been in my M5 and works great. I adjusted the viewing angle on that one and love it.

So this screen has not be touched that I'm selling and never opened.

If you need more reassurance that I'm honest and have been selling things for some time, see my eBay feedback under used ID "mpowerme" and you'll find many buyers who felt great about cars, motorcycles and other items I've sold over the years.
