Pre-production, I believe the price was $149. It then went to $199, and it may have gone higher later on.

I understood they went out of production because demand was not high enough to make a profit in light of their required updates to software that they apparently felt were necessary. I find it a little strange too, as the module fit a bunch of different vehicles, including the Mini and the popularity of the V1 continues.
Regards,
Jerry

The system is based on an I-BUS interface-- aren't all the new cars using MOST bus technology? It may have been too costly to do the R&D to create a new bus interface. Just a guess. I would also have paid more when I bought mine, and would certainly buy a new one if I had the need.

Yup.

It is essentially just a microprocessor that drives the Ibus with commands that map the V1 signals into graphical data on the BMW display. Not hard to do, but time consuming and a challenge to do as well as Jared and Eric did it!

I thought they were going to go after the MOST bus with a new product, hence their efforts were looking forward and they decided to drop this. Too bad.

Price from them peaked at $199. I think I got Greer the last one!
