Who wants to Play at a Major M5 Weekend Meet in Las Vegas

I posted this on the E60 site a few days ago:
__________
__________

OK: Who wants to do a multi-state-M5-monster-weekend meet in Las Vegas?

I just got done posting the video clips of the SoCal meet in July, and I can't help but feel like organizing a huge M5 gathering in Las Vegas for M5 owners from CA, AR, UT, and anybody else who wants to join in!
__________

Here's what I'm thinking:

- M3, M5, M6 Meet
- Invite the Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborgini brothers & sisters to attend (turn it into an exotics meet ... kind'a)
- Schedule for late Oct or early Nov 2006 (perfect weather conditions)
- Charge a fee ($300-$500 not including accommodation) to cover weekend expenses (see below)
- Everybody stays at the same Strip-Casino
- Friday night registration
- Saturday morning breakfast/car show (7am - 9am)
- Drive to Redrock National Park (photo session) to Redrock-Casino (lunch) to Las Vegas Speedway (drag racing/timed lap runs) back to Strip-Casino
- Saturday night dinner, special-awards ceremony, and show (book a celebrity to perform e.g. Jerry Seinfeld or similar)
- Go home Sunday morning

Anybody interested! If so, who wants to help organize it?

__________
__________

Somebody suggested that I post it on the E39 site with the idea that we could line up the fast E39's with the E60's! And maybe the E39's would give us E60 folk a couple car-spaces "head-start"!

Anybody interested?

You should post this at m3forum.net to attract some of the M3 guys.

Around what date are you considering to have the meet?

The $300-$500 dollar fee might be a big turn off to a lot of people though.

The date we are working with is October 6, 2006.

The fee is up in the air right now until we can figure our total estimated cost. I accept it may turn people off, but I believe we can come up with a weekend that absolutely justifies the expense ... whatever that expense ends up being

Thanks for the tip ... I will post it on m3forum.net!

Any update on this? I live in the Vegas area and would enjoy a nice little drool fest. As well as learning more then I can imagine about the M5.
