25 M5 E60 meeting on racing track in Sweden

BMW have sold over 100 BMW M5 and at least 5 BMW M6 on the Swedish market this year, which is remarkable considering it's population of less than 9 million people. Me and Member THO///M5 went from Stockholm with an Interlagos Blue M5 to the event. Thanks for BMW Sweden for an excellent event

Below we fuel up.

The racetrack was around 200 km south of Stockholm so we had to floor it or get up early in the morning. We chose something in between Below we were greeted by 25 BMW M5 out of 78 delivered (out of around 100 ordered doe Sweden so far). We had M5 in several colours, with Silverstone II being the most popular. Of the rarer ones we had Sepang Bronze and Individual Carbon Black.

Before heading out on to the track we was greeted by several BMW Sweden directors (sales and marketing) as well as technology experts along with proffesional race drivers competing in STCC (Swedish Touring Car Championship) successfully on a national and European level. Below some of the fundametnals why the BMW M5 and M6 are so fats with "just" 7 gears: high-revving engine to 8300 rpm as well as 7-speed SMGIII gearbox.

The new V-10 is only 1 kg heavier but over 100 HP more

Below were our race drivers that instructed us and let followed us in a 120d and 130i

One of the questions were when you were able to floor it and the reply was after 5000 km. So the questionner was lucky, he had 5005 km on the car

Below, at last heading for the track!

Lining up. The two cars in front have the Hartge wheels and front spoiler.

Interlagos Blue Hartge M5 with 21' wheels.

Alot of power below!

At first we took it slowely around the track in teo groups and stopped and were given lectures on all parts of the track.

The Hartge 21' wheels looks nice in motion.

Brake dusts on the front wheels
'

21' Breyton wheels in motion.

Sapphire Black M5 in action below.

Sepang Bronze M5 below.

A couple of M5 flagged down

Alot of M5 in the rear view mirror:

Heading off the track for a photo session.

Alot of M5:

Member FKS65 who owns a Ferrari F430 and a BMW M6 also swung by in the BMW M6. He was about to sell his Ferrari F430 since it was not as good car as the BMW M6. The M6 was alot faster than the F430. He also had a 575 Maranello but the M6 was overall much mroe complete. Next car will be a Murciolago in addition to the BMW M6

Below we have a Carbon Black Individual BMW M5, which also had BMW Individual Caramel Leather interiour.

The Carbon Blsck was really black, you really had to look closer or with a strong sun to see the blue:

Caramel interiour is very warm and nice, precisely as it was on the E39 M5. Strange enough it is only available on Individual BMW M5 now. This owner had two wait between two and three months extra ffor his Individual order and got his car delivered in July. The flash made the leather look a bit more like in real life.

Silverstone II Hartge M5 chasing a standard Sepang Bronze M5.

The race is on! Alot of drifts, alot of smoke, fuel and tyres. But no incidents.

Interesting cosmetic changes to the BMW M5. Similar to the Ferrari 355 and 360 Challenge maybe?

Hartge M5 Interlagos Blue taking a rest.

The different shades of Sepang Brone. This BMW M5 unique colour have several different shades in various lightnings. Very special colour!

Hitting it and avoiding the Armcos...

Harteg 21' wheels glowing in the evenign sun of Sweden...

The sun is setting at around 5 P.M. (17.00) in Sweden since it getting close to winter. Time to wrap up and be happy for no snow this time

So after a real fun day at the track with 25 BMW M5 we are heading homein time for dinner in Stockholm. The car we went all out on the track we now is looking at a 3D-naviagtion towards home in full comfort. We could not have done this in any other car as good as we did today. The only bad thing: it either consumes too much fuel (3 liters / 10 km on the track and 2 liters / 10 km on the road) or either the fuel tank is to small

In anycase we had a great day. Last picture is of course at the...

Great job on the pic's Gustav.

Impressive gathering. I doubt any locales in the US will be able to top that.

The Hartge treatment really looks good.

cheers

Great report Gustav!

That CB/Caramel color combo looks very good, too bad it's under Individual now.
