Wednesday night drags at Los Angeles County Raceway

I'm heading up to LACR this Wednesday, Oct 5th (www.lacr.net) and wanted to see if anyone else in the LA area would be interested.

It starts at 5 PM and runs all night until 10 PM, $ 15 per car.

Hi Mike,

On a different topic, I'm also thinking about the Willow Springs event in December, with TCRA.(http://www.touringcarclub.com).

I just did an event last weekend at Willow SPrings in conjunction with POC. It was a great weekend, but very busy on the track (30-35 cars per session). I rented the transponder and did the time-trial, but it was way too crowded to get a decent time. My best was 1:49, kinda weak.

It'll be nice to get more M5's out there and get together again.

I'm fine with leaving at 5 but dont you think we're gonna hit a ton of traffic. What part of town are you in? I'll be leaving from work in downtown.

You know how traffic is in LA, there is traffic at any hour of the day...shouldn't take us more than 1 hr to get there.

Or we can leave earlier, maybe around 4 PM.

I'm in the West San Fernando Valley. Let me know.

Actually, I was thinking we should go later, since they are open til 10. It'll also be cooler for better runs (although the altitude doesnt help). I would only want to do a handful of runs anyway. Dont want to kill the clutch and tires. Let me know.

Sounds like a plan. The tires are not an issue, the clutch is.

Last time, I was there by 7 PM and got about 6 runs. It can get pretty busy sometimes, though. I'll probably leave around 6 PM or so.

In any case, I'll see you up there.
