So Calif Run/ Palomar / No. San Diego Area Oct 23 or 30th

We are organizing another run, this time near San Marcos/ Escondito to inlcude the folks from Orange County and San Diego. (Deleted the roads). Looks like a full day. Meet time 7 AM, Sunday Oct 23 or 30th depending on attendance.

The route was run some time ago by others on this board. It looks like its a relatively isolated route (perhaps not as good as the Valencia/Ojai one we did a few months ago). No doubt we will have lots of good fun.

Kindly reply if interested.

Thanks!

Re: So Calif Run/ Palomar / No. San Diego Area Oct 23 or 30th

David,

I'll be on vacation and out of town during those dates, but Wang can help with the organization of a run. If you decide to move it up (or other interested want to move it up to Nov 5 or Nov 12), I should be back in town and can help with the run.

I talked with Wang last night and we thought a run that met at 0730 hrs. and stopped for lunch around noon would allow anybody to head back if they had other things to do at home. The rest could go on longer or maybe make the lunch stop, the start of an easy day looking around on foot at a museum, stores, etc.

We should get a poll of how many can make it on which days from the south and north by having them post their interest and what will work for them. If we don't get enough interest in going to the south, we should consider proposing a route that will get the cars out.

John

I'd like to say I'll showup to one of these, I haven't been to any North of me.
I get my regular CDL back on the 17th of this month.

Let us know. So you really did lose your license...now that has got to be another story.

John,

Thanks for your note. Yes, depending on interest, we will adjust.

The judge gave me a year with just driving to and from work.
If I was pulled over I'd loose it all.
I've cheated but still happy I can come out of the yard again.

I'm for 1st week of November, but will try to make whatever date we settle on, if I can. I guess we can start with a show of hands of intereted parties, at lease.

I started a poll RSVP to get a better idea of date preference and headcount, thanks

Thanks!
For security reasons it may be better not to post the route. I have heard the CHP likes to peruse these boards. However, I am not sure how true it is. I don't think anyone needs a map in advance anyway.

Count me in too - at least for now. Right now most of those dates look good, so others can make the decision.
